Circuit Sports Aluminum Coolant Reservoir Tank - Nissan S13 240SX 89-94

Most 240SX S13 owners have or will encounter a cracked coolant reservoir tank during ownership of their vehicle due to age of most coolant tanks.  New, OEM coolant tanks can be costly.  For this reason Circuit Sport introduced a polished aluminum coolant reservoir tank for S13 vehicles.  This tank will last years and improve the looks in your engine bay in the process.

This coolant reserve tank is designed to be a direct fit unit in the S13 engine bay. Even the the most novice of tuners should be able to install this easy modification to their vehicle.

  • 8mm-5/16 upper hose barb size
  • Must drill second hole into vehicle body in order to properly secure the reservoir.

Please READ carefully:

Due to the nature of this aftermarket Reservoir Tank, the end user must take precautions to prevent leaks. Push in the level indicator tube into the blue fitting, then pull the blue fitting away from the main black fitting. Repeat the same for the top & bottom.

I found it simple to avoid drilling a new hole(less than 5 minutes of work). My S13 HICAS/ABS has a harness running along the strut tower that makes the tank sit too high....unpin that so it isn't in the way of the bottom of the new tank(reroute it by the small fuse box). You'll see a ground wire bolt on the strut tower that's still a tiny bit too low for the corresponding tab on the tank...use a round file to make the hole on the tab about a quarter inch lower(the tab has more than enough thickness for this). Now bend either tab a bit to get them both flush and it will bolt directly into 1 of the holes from the old tank and at the pre-existing ground location.

Awesome product, top notch quality!! The metal was thick, welds are clean, and is a eye-catching addition to my engine bay. You need to bend one bracket down that the old tank mounted to. Install was about 5-10 min total.

Very happy with this item. Looks way better than the stock plastic one. If your plastic one is damaged, cracked, needs replacing... just buy this one. You will not regret it.

I have bought two already and for the price compared to a plastic reservoir you cannot go wrong. Pair it up with a bleeder swirl tank and you've got a great system. Only downsides I would say would be the fitment. It is extremely tight and involved me moving harnesses and some metal pieces out of the way. Tight fit and as long as I don't over-tighten the holders, it should last me a long time without cracking

I am very impressed with the build quality of this unit--especially the fill cap. It looks great in place of that 20 year-old worn out, cracked reservoir. The installation went pretty smooth, and I only had to modify the fender well slightly where the coolant hose connects. It just took a few minutes with a hammer and punch to make a little room for the hose and clamp to fit on the nipple. The tab bolt holes don't match up perfectly but it's not a problem because they bend to a perfect fit while you tighten it down. Some people will just drill new holes and that is shown in a youtube video that reviewed this unit. Overall I'm very happy with this unit and I highly recommend it.

I must say, I was doubtful about how high quality the welds would be on this piece. When I got it in the mail, I was amazed when I saw how smooth and even ALL of the welds were. This thing will never spring a leak. However, the bottom fitting where you put in the overflow line from the radiator could be just a few mm thicker to allow our old and heat soaked lines to fit a little tighter. This is easily remedied with a small clamp, which should be used in the first place. I'm very impressed with this product, and I would definitely buy it again. Thank you FrSport, and CircuitSports.

Very nice piece, good fit and finish and only $10 bucks more than a new ugly OEM plastic tank. I'd buy it again.
