Product Details

Tomei has created a new line of turbos for the Nissan SR20DET using the years of knowledge and first hand experience.  They have spent the last few years investing time and money to develop what most SR20DET owners want in turbos.  Tomei has bench tested various blades designs, housings, and actuator to develop what they believe to be the best bolt on turbo kit for bottom mount setups.  All this researched has lead to the creation of 2 turbos to fit this request: the M8270 turbo is for big power with slight lag & the M7960 for max response.

This turbo come as a complete kit for the S13/S14/S15 SR20DET. They're a direct bolt-on for stock engine setup, such as stock exhaust manifold, side-mount intercooler, stock intake, stock hotpipe, and factory oil/water connections. For S13 SR20DET with an aftermarket aluminum hotpipe, we recommend to purchase the DIF 10006 Reclock Kit to properly mate up to your hotpipe and intake.

Been looking at this kit for years and finally went with it in 2014. Didn't get around to installing until early 2015 but I love it for the price and what it can do. Just to give some more info on my build: -850cc Sard Injectors -Greddy Intake Manifold -FMIC (no bov) -Tomei exhaust and tomei turbo elbow I had it tuned on stock bottom and head and necessary bolt ons and with the power fc djetro made 310 whp. which was expected. The main difference between the 79 and this 82 is when the boost kicks in hard. This particular model comes in at around 3600-3800rpm and boosts really well and sucks you into your seat. Breaks traction no problem. I then ended up a few months later doing the Poncams and along with hydraulic lifters, BC valve springs, and retainers, and then had it retuned again and made easy 370 first pull. Then got it up to 389 at 8,200 rpm safely. However I had it reduced to around 365 and I rev it to 8,000-8,200 and have never had a problem. Just make sure you keep your oil clean. I ran it at a few events already and it has held all day long really really well. I am running s13 blacktop SR20det in a S14. The only thing is with this kit you need to buy the clocking adaptor kit.
