| Parts Installing: Clutch Master Cylinder (CMC) Tools Used: *10mm wrench *Locking Pliers (have them handy if 10mm wrench doesn't do it's job) *12mm socket *Ratchet (I used 3/8th drive, a 1/4 drive would have made thing easier) *Extension for ratchet *Needle Nose Pliers *Shop Rags *Container to hold brake fluid *Hands (these are very necessary) Supplies Necessary: *New Brake Fluid *Brake Parts Cleaner How to: --Draining the system of all brake fluid prior to starting will make things less messy-- 1. Remove Pin holding clutch pedal to CMC. [Needle nose pliers] 2. Remove clutch hard line from CMC . [10mm wrench or locking pliers] *Have a rag or container ready, as brake fluid will drip/pour from this line and CMC once disconnected 3. Remove nuts holding CMC to firewall [12mm socket/wrench] 4. Guide CMC out of fire wall [hands] 5. Place old CMC and new CMC side by side to compare rod length * Ensure rod length is the same *Extend to increase clutch pedal height, shorten to decrease 6. Guide new CMC through fire wall 7. Attach to clutch pedal first 8. Attach to firewall loosely [12mm socket/wrench] 9. Attach hard line [10mm wrench or locking pliers] 10. Tighten firewall bolts [12mm socket/wrench] 11. Bleed the clutch hydraulic system |
