I bought these for a 2003 LS that is used as a daily driver. I was looking for a performance-oriented shock/spring combo that would let me lower the ride height, take the corners faster and wouldn't jar my teeth loose. The Basis set provides a ride that's firm, but not harsh. The shocks seemed well matched to the 7Kg/6Kg springs. After reading reviews from other Miata owners, I opted to increase the front sway bar to 1" and leave the stock rear bar installed. I am VERY happy with the results. Someone who has a dual purpose vehicle ( track/street) might want an option with more adjustment, but I think these are a good choice for a car that spends most of its time on the street.
